Clicking or tapping shoots the bubble to the aimed spot to hopefully match and pop bubbles.
Players aim their next bubble shot by moving the cursor or tilting the device. Controlsīubble Shooter uses simple point-and-click or tap controls, depending on the platform (6). It remains one of PopCap’s most successful and recognizable casual game titles. Developersīubble Shooter was originally designed and published by Danish firm Absolutist, now known as PopCap Games after being acquired by Electronic Arts in 2011 (5).
The player must strategically aim their shots as the bubbles pile up higher and higher (4). As bubbles are matched and removed, gravity pulls the remaining bubbles downwards. The goal is to clear the screen of all the colorful bubbles by shooting new bubbles into the play area to match 3 or more of the same color, causing them to pop and disappear (3).
